Kellen Richards has served as Costume Designer for the Emmy Award-winning
trailblazing “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” since 2003. During that time, Richards
received an impressive 7 Daytime Emmy Award nominations for her work on the talk
show.


In addition, Richards collaborated with DeGeneres to develop the ED by Ellen clothing line in 2015, followed by a successful shoe partnership with Vince Camuto. She was also essential in creating DeGeneres' iconic looks for hosting the Academy Awards in 2007 and 2014 and various red carpet and award show appearances, including the Golden Globes, People's Choice Awards, and "Finding Dory" premiere.

Richards continues to build her commercial resume, working with renowned directors and photographers throughout her career, including Martin Scorsese, Annie Leibovitz, Roman Coppola, Paul Feig, Bryan Buckley, and Nino Munoz.

Her career began in New York City working with designer Steven Alan, which led her to land a job as a freelance stylist in Los Angeles. Richards has spent the last 20 years establishing herself as a well-respected Costume Designer and a creative and loyal collaborator.

Raised in Mexico City, Richards moved to New York City to study at Hunter College. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons.
